My interior design partnership business with my sister is doing very well. She is actually the official interior designer, with specialized knowledge in matters of interior design including but not limited to color schemes, textures, lightings, ornamentation, and furnishings. Everyone praises her exquisite designs and taste. She would usually work on theme designing, so that the entire house is like a well drawn out novel (we both love reading, by the way) – each room, each corner and each nook is a part of a coherent whole. Although she undertakes projects on individual rooms only, or even just the landscape (yes, she does landscapes too), her favorite assignments are those that involved the entire house, because she is great with themes. When she started with the business, she did it on her own – everything from design layouts, to supplies shopping, and even scouting for suitable furniture. Then she called me onto the business as her design consultant and pseudo-personal buyer, claiming she has all praises for my chic, exquisite taste. Now we have developed a portfolio of hers showing her finished designs with different clients, and we show the portfolio with great scenic snapshots of her interior designs, not only for homes but also for offices, including conference rooms.
A popular favorite as we have noticed with the recent clients, are minimalistic designs, and Oriental set-ups. Clients always prefer having less furnishings, but more accents on the walls, and floors. I am but the traveler but my husband made me one. After we got married I had to embrace his lifestyle, his hobbies, and his passion to learn by experience. He tagged me along to see the whole country with him, and has recently started going outside the country for less familiar experiences. Traveling I guess is his passion in life. And he drags me wherever he goes.
